October 2018
Our head coach came up with the idea to bring a running, jumping, and throwing club to Canyon County.
May 19, 2019
Spike Up Athletics was chosen as our official name. No one won the contest due to our name being created by an independent group using the various submissions received to create a name that was unique.
June 3, 2019
Spike Up Athletics officially announced to the public.
July 2019
Spike Up Athletics applied for and was granted USA Track & Field (USATF) affiliation.
September 6, 2019
Abagail Krzemien, 8th grade, Lone Star Middle School, became Spike Up Athletes' first registered athlete.
December 15, 2019
Spike Up Athletics entered 9 athletes into competition: Cortland Friedli, 10th grade, Nampa High School; Lily Goode, 8th grade, Nampa Christian Schools; Danika Hartman, 9th grade, Nampa High School; Augustus Haynes, 9th grade, Ridgevue High School; Vincent Jaso Castillo Jr., 10th grade, Nampa High School; Abagail Krzemien, 8th grade, Lone Star Middle School; Bryar Lords, 9th grade, Nampa High School; Logan Miller, 9th grade, Ridgevue High School; and Caleb Washington, 9th grade, Ridgevue High School.
January 18, 2020
At the BYU HS Indoor Invitational @ Smith Fieldhouse, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, Danika Hartman and Abagail Krzemien became Spike Up Athletics' first athletes to stand atop the medals podium. Danika finished 4th in the long jump with a distance of 16' 9.25" (5.11m) and Abby finished 4th in the 1 mile with a time of 5:38.02 and 3rd in the 800 meters with a time of 2:27.84.
May thru July, 2020
USATF canceled the outdoor track & field season due to the COVID pandemic, and as a result Spike Up Athletics was not able to compete. The club instead offered free training 3 days a week to it's athletes and perspective athletes.
January 2021
Corinne Fernandez became the first Spike Up Athletics Athlete to sign a National Letter of Intent to attend Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho.
February 4, 2021
Spike Up Athletics applied for and was granted Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) affiliation.
June 24, 2021
Spike Up Athletics competed in its very first AAU track & field meet, the AAU Region 21 National Junior Olympic qualifier held at Timberline High School in Boise, Idaho. Spike Up Athletics saw 12 first place, 13 second place, and 10 third place finishes; and 20 athletes (7 males and 13 females) qualified for the AAU National Junior Olympics. **Spike Up Athletics competed in 2 additional qualifiers in July and had a total of 22 athletes (7 males and 15 females) qualify for the AAU NJO.
July 9-10, 2021
Spike Up Athletics competed in its very first USATF Region 11 National Junior Olympic qualifier held at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Spike Up Athletics saw 8 first place, 12 second place, and 3 third place finishes; and 14 athletes (5 males and 9 females) qualified for the USATF National Junior Olympics.
July 31 thru August 1, 2021
Abagail Krzemien, Adeline Wimer, Tyler Bird, Patrick Monahan, and Caleb Washington became the first athletes to represent Spike Up Athletics at the AAU National Junior Olympics held at Humble High School in Humble, Texas. Abby competed in the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m. Adi competed in the 200m and 400m. Tyler competed in the 100m, 200m, and Long Jump. Patrick competed in the High Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump. Caleb competed in the Long Jump and Triple Jump. Abby's best finish was in the 1500m in 28th place out of 57 competitors. Adi's best finish was in the 400m in 36th place out of 85 competitors. Tyler's best finish was in the Long Jump in 83rd place out of 85 competitors. Patrick's best finish was in the High Jump in 14th place out of 52 competitors. Caleb's best finish was in Triple Jump in 29th place out of 67 competitors.
July 30, 2022
Abagail Krzemien competed at the USATF National Junior Olympics held at Cal State University in Sacramento, CA and became Spike Up Athletics first all-American over 800 meters in the women's 17-18 age group. Abby placed 8th with a time of 2:24.58.

One day later, Abby also became an all-American in the 1500m in the women's 17-18 age group. Abby placed 6th with a time of 4:56.69.
January 30, 2023
Caleb Washington became the first Spike Up Athletics athlete to sign an NCAA Division 1 scholarship to attend and compete at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Caleb was signed to compete in sprints, long jump, and triple jump.
July 28, 2023
Caleb Washington competed at the USATF National Junior Olympics held at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR and became Spike Up Athletics' fifth all-American in the Triple Jump in the men's 17-18 age group. Caleb placed 3rd with a jump of 47' 2.50" (14.38m)
April 2024
Sophia Krzemien became Spike Up Athletics' first athlete to get an academic scholarship to attend Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sophia will be competing on both the cross country and track & field teams.
July 25, 2024
Sophia Krzemien competed at the USATF National Junior Olympics held at E.B. Cushing Stadium at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX and became Spike Up Athletics' seventh all-American with her 4th place finish in the women's 17-18 age group 2k meter Steeplechase.

A "Name Your Track Club" contest was ran on our temporary website titled "New Athletic Club Nampa" for the purpose of community engagement.
May 27, 2019
The Spike Up Athletic name was officially filed with the Idaho Secretary of State. Our club was officially born.
June 3 thru July 14, 2019
Our head coach selected a young 14 year old artist named Kaden Pendell to design a logo for Spike Up Athletics.
July 21, 2019
Our current logo, designed by 14 year old Kaden Pendell who attended Sage Valley Middle School at the time, was accepted as our official logo.
October 28, 2019
Spike Up Athletics held its first practice at West Middle School in Nampa, with 3 athletes in attendance: Lily Goode, 8th grade, Nampa Christian Schools; Abagail Krzemien, 8th grade, Lone Star Middle School; and Caleb Washington, 9th grade, Ridgevue High School.
January 10, 2020
Spike Up Athletics competed in its first indoor meet: The Snake River Open @ Holt Arena, Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho. Abagail Krzemien and Danika Hartman became the first Spike Up Athletics' athletes with a first place finish. Abby placed 1st in the 800 meters with a time of 2:36.14 and 1st in the 1 mile with a time of 5:38.30. Danika placed 1st in the triple jump with a distance of 34' 4.5" (10.47m).

At the Nike Boise Indoor @ the Jacksons Indoor Track Facility, Nampa, Idaho, Caleb Washington became Spike Up Athletics' first male athlete to stand atop the medals podium. Caleb finished 8th in the triple jump with a distance of 40' 10.75"

USATF canceled the indoor track & field season due to the COVID pandemic. 18 athletes still committed to training during the entire winter season in hope of being able to compete during their school seasons.

Bryson Gonzalez became the second Spike Up Athletics athlete to sign a National Letter of Intent to attend Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho.
July 1-4, 2021
Caleb Washington became the first Spike Up Athletics athlete to set a meet record in triple jump at the AAU West Coast Nationals held at Spanish Hills HS in Sparks, Nevada. Caleb set a meet record for the men's 17-18 age group with a jump of 44' 3.5" (13.50m).
July 22-31, 2021
Kallen Mutchie became the first athlete to represent Spike Up Athletics at the USATF National Junior Olympics held at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida . Kallen competed in the 800m, 1500m,and 3000m. Kallen's best finish was in the 3000m in 22nd place out of 33 competitors.
April 2022
Trenton Johnson became the third Spike Up Athletics athlete to sign a National Letter of Intent to attend Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho.
June 30 thru July 3, 2022
Caleb Washington became the first Spike Up Athletics athlete to defend a meet championship and set a new meet record in consecutive years at the AAU West Coast Nationals held at Reed HS in Sparks, Nevada. Caleb's new meet record and championship winning jump was 45' 6.25" (13.87m).
July 31, 2022
Sophia Krzemien competed at the USATF National Junior Olympics held at Cal State University in Sacramento, CA and became Spike Up Athletics second all-American over 1500 meters in the girls 15-16 age group. Sophia placed 6th with a time of 5:01.17.
July 24, 2023
Sophia Krzemien competed at the USATF National Junior Olympics held at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR and became Spike Up Athletics fourth all-American over the 2k meter Steeplechase in the women's 17-18 age group. Sophia placed 8th with a time of 7:54.34.
January 20-21, 2024
Blake Johns, David Gummersall, and Logan Anderson became the first Spike Up Athletics athletes to qualify for the Nike Indoor National meet. Blake qualified in the weight throw (61'0.25"/18.60m) in both the champion and emerging elite categories. David qualified in the 400m (49.94) in the emerging elite category. Logan qualified in the high jump (6' 0.00"/1.83m) in the emerging elite category. Carlotta Papa also became the first international athlete from Gallarate, Italy, to compete with Spike Up Athletics. Carlotta competed with club Atletica Gallaratese in Italy.
July 23, 2024
Everett Metier competed at the USATF National Junior Olympics held at E.B. Cushing Stadium at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX and became Spike Up Athletics' first national champion in the 3000m run, men's 17-18 age group. Everett placed 1st with a time of 8:54.01. With his win, Everett also became Spike Up Athletics' sixth all-American.
